How Does SureSmile® Straighten Teeth?

SureSmile clear aligners guide your teeth into their optimal position by applying gentle, steady pressure. This gradually moves the roots of your teeth into their appropriate positions for a straighter, better-aligned smile. Discomfort is minimal because the pressure slowly increases as you switch from one set of aligners to another.

SureSmile provides tools for patient comfort, including the SureSmile Vpro High-Frequency Vibration Device to improve the fit and comfort of your aligners.

Aligner Material

SureSmile uses Essix ACE plastic by Dentsply, which creates a clear aligner with greater comfort and superior clarity. The Essix ACE aligners are strong enough to work effectively while being pliant enough to prevent soreness when you switch from one aligner to the next.

Trim Options

SureSmile clear aligners offer the same scalloped edges if you want to maintain the best appearance. However, you can also opt for a straight edge along the gum line. The straight edge covers up a small sliver of the gums with the clear aligner’s edge. Many patients prefer the straight edge because it is more effective in straightening teeth in less time.

Because SureSmile uses its own dedicated lab, costs are lower, a savings that is passed on to you.

Aftercare
